Amount/Measure/Ingredient:
12 oz. semisweet chocolate, broken into small pieces, the better the quality of the chocolate, the better the drink
2 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Preparation:
1. Heat the milk and cream over low heat to a simmer, add the chocolate and stir until dissolved---don't boil.
2. When the liquid is smooth and creamy, add the vanilla.
3. Ladle into warm mugs and enjoy!
