History: A new way to make spinach and bacon salad. I like the pear and blue cheese flavor because it blends well with the flavor of bacon!
description: I like the pear and blue cheese flavor because it blends well with the flavor of bacon and the dressing give a nice lift to the spinach.
Preparation time: about 15 minutes
Serves: 4

Amount/Measure/Ingredient

4 cups of spinach, washed and dried
1 pear, peeled and diced
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/4 cup French dressing
4 slices bacon, crispy cooked and crumbled, warm
1/2 cup croutons

Procedure:

Cook the bacon and drain on paper towel to absorb the grease. Tear the spinach into bit size pieces and place in a salad bowl, top with diced pears, blue cheese. Sprinkle on the dress and toss to mix the ingredients. Top with crisp warm bacon and croutons.

French Dressing (Vinaigrette)

1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
2 dashes Spanish paprika
1/2 tsp dry mustard
3/4 cup olive oil (not extra virgin) may use a blend
1/4 cup cider vinegar

Place everything in a container cover (an old jar works well) and shake, shake and shake!
