Serving Size 2-1/2 to 3 dozen cookies
Preparation time 0:30
This recipe is always a hit - and a welcome change from all the sweetness of most holiday cookies, is my own variation of an absolutely classic cookie.

1 c. butter (no substitute)
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 t. vanilla
1-3/4 c. flour
1/2 to 2/3 c. crushed potato chips
1/2 to 2/3 c. chopped pecans and/or walnuts
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add other ingredients. Form into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Place on un-greased cookie sheet. Press cookies down with bottom of small glass dipped in powdered sugar. Place a pecan or walnut piece in center of each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes...or until the edges are golden.
These are fabulous...!!! For the holiday season, I will sometimes roll the cookie dough in colored sugars before flattening them...and put a candied or maraschino cherry in the center of each cookie before baking.
