Ingredients:
History: This is a recipe that I adapted from a recipe in a cookbook called "Lone Star Legacy." It is slightly spicy, but is great to eat!
Description: Main dish
Serving Size: 8
Preparation Time: about a hour
Amount/Measure/Ingredient
l lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can (5.33 ozs.) evaporated milk
1 can (4 ozs.) chopped green chiles
1 can (10 ozs.) Rotel tomatoes with diced green chiles
1 pkg. (8 ozs.) Doritos
1/2 lb. American or cheddar cheese, grated
Instructions:
Brown ground meat, onion, salt and pepper. Heat the soups, milk, chiles, and Rotel tomatoes. Spread Doritos in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Put meat mixture over Doritos and top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
