Ingredients:
Description: Very nice with coffee
History: It is a very popular recipe and it is eaten during holy Week celebrations all over Spain.
Serving Size: As many as slices of bread you use
Preparation time: about One hour
Amount/Measure/Ingredient
A loaf of French bread cut in slices of around an inch
One liter of whole milk
A cup of sugar
A tablespoon of cinnamon
Three whole eggs beaten
A liter of oil to fry
Instructions:
Cut the bread in one inch slices. Warm the milk a little and add one fourth of the cup of sugar. Dip the bread slices in the warm milk with the sugar until they are completely soaked. Mix the rest of the sugar with the cinnamon. Heat the oil. Dip the soaked bread slices in the beaten eggs. Fry them until golden. Then you have to coat the fried slices with the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Then let them cool and enjoy them.
